How to Use Fonts

Almost all fonts that you download online come in a zip file. The zip file usually includes the following file types:

  • OTF
  • TTF
  • WOFF

*Sometimes it may also include svg files

Once you’ve downloaded the fonts and added them to your system fonts, you’re ready to use them. Any of these formats will work with a Cricut cutting machine.

Fonts for Cricut Pens

Did you know that you can also write your fonts out with the cricut pen? The way the pen works is that the Cricut Design Space software follows the outline and writing fonts.

All you have to do is hook up the Cricut marker or pen of your choice to the Cricut Maker or another compatible cutting machine and pair it with one of the Cricut writing fonts. 

There are lots of paid and free writing fonts for you to choose from. Here are two single line fonts to try.

How do I see all Cricut fonts at once?

When you’re on the Design Space canvas, you can see all the fonts that are included in Cricut Access by clicking on the Text button from the design menu panel. You’ll be able to see the list of free fonts as well as paid fonts in your Cricut Access subscription. See what it looks like in the screenshot here.

🛒 How do I get Cricut font bundles?

Lots of online marketplaces sell Cricut font bundles. You can get free designs or buy sets from places like Creative Fabrica, Etsy, Creative Market or Font Bundles.
