Are you tired of struggling with a non-sticky Silhouette mat? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with these cheap and easy tips to clean and restore the stickiness of your mat!

1. Dawn Power Wash or Regular Dish Soap
These products work wonders to remove dirt and debris from your mat. Use a small amount of detergent and water to gently scrub the mat, then rinse it well.
2. Damp Sponge with a Rough Side
For glitter and debris removal, use a damp sponge with a rough side. Gently scrub the mat with the sponge until all debris is removed.
3. Old Gift Card
An old gift card can be used to gently scrape the mat without causing any damage. Use the card to remove any remaining debris or glitter from the mat.
4. Rinse and Dry Upright
Rinse the mat well after cleaning and ensure it is dried upright to prevent water from collecting on the surface.
5. Hang on Pegboard
Avoid storing your mats in drawers to prevent debris buildup. Instead, hang them on a pegboard or a cutting mat hanger for easy access.
6. Replace When Necessary
Keep in mind that your Silhouette mat will eventually lose its stickiness over time and will need to be replaced. Check for sales on Silhouette mats on Amazon.
7. Quick Reminder
Use a degreaser or Awesome to restore the stickiness of your old mat. Spray the mat with Awesome, use a soft sponge to wipe it clean, rinse it with water, and let it air dry overnight.
