We need stickers for a million everyday things – from labeling journals and school lunch boxes to fabric for various uses.
Doing it yourself is always more fun than having store-bought stickers.

What supplies do I need to make stickers with my Cricut?
A Cricut Machine
The first thing you’ll need is a Cricut machine if you don’t already have one. The best for this is a Cricut Maker or a Cricut Explore.
If you don’t know which one to pick, check out my blog on the 7 best vinyl cutting machines to help you make the right decision.

Cricut Design Space
If you’re planning to work with Cricut for a long time, having Cricut Design Space will be invaluable. There are also other sticker-making websites that you can use.
It will help you make all the designs you desire without breaking a sweat.
Cricut Mat
Different Cricut mats are used for various projects depending on how heavy the material you’re printing is.
Stickers are pretty light duty. Therefore, a lightweight grip machine mat would suffice.

A printer
An inkjet printer will come in handy if your Cricut machine can’t print.
This is especially important if you’re using Cricut Joy.

Printable sticker paper
Printable sticker paper is also a must-have for making stickers.
The material you’ll use for your sticker will largely depend on where you want to use the stickers.
Vinyl
The best material for stickers is reflective vinyl and white vinyl. These two are popular since they look great on everything and last for up to five years.
It’s also versatile and can be used on almost any surface.
If you plan to use your stickers on various services, it’s best to choose the vinyl that is perfect for everything.
Pre-made Stickers
If you do not want to make your sticker from scratch – designing, printing, and cutting – then you can choose to get some pre-made stickers.
These are great for when you don’t have much time to design, or design isn’t your forte.
A pair of scissors
Once you’re done, you may need to trim down your sticker sheet, and this is what you’ll need the scissors for. However, you can choose to leave it as it is. This is an optional step.
Waterproofing supplies
The vinyl itself is waterproof and should be able to withstand the effects of elements for a while.
However, waterproofing your stickers will make them more durable and adaptable. To do this, you’ll need:
A laminating sheet
You can apply a laminating sheet over your stickers once they are done to make them last longer.
A sealant Spray
Spraying the stickers with a sealant spray will also keep the ink from running.
Wait for about a day to give it time to dry before spraying.
If the sticker will be mostly outdoors, use UV-resistant ink to prevent it from the sun.
What kind of stickers will you make?
Making stickers with your Cricut is easy and fun. Ensure that you have followed the necessary steps and that you get quality materials for your work.
For best results, do the process in one session. It reduces your chances of mistakes and printing errors.
Now that you know what you need, let me know what kind of stickers you’ll make.
