Want to create your own beautiful cards for family members or to sell? These seven projects will help you do just that!
With a great idea and a few svg files, you can make homemade cards using a Cricut machine that can rival any store-bought one.
You may be wondering if you really need a cutting machine to make your own cards. Well, the thing is, a vinyl cutter will save you loads of time and will make the job so much easier.
There is a wide variety of craft supplies that you can use with a Cricut machine. The best part is that with a cricut access subscription you get tons of free svg cut files.
You can also make your own designs so that you don’t end up selling the same thing as everyone else online.
Here are seven card ideas that will help you start your new project.

I get commissions for purchases made through some of the links in this post. There is no extra cost to you. See my full disclosure here.

3. Make a Holiday Card
If you love crafting, then you might enjoy making holiday cards. You can make them yourself or use pre-made templates. Here are 3 simple holiday cards that you can make.
- Christmas card

- Kwanzaa card
Did you know that Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African-American culture that lasts for 7 days? That’s a whole week of giving and sharing. Add different images and other elements to a pre-folded card to celebrate the seven principles of this holiday.
- Hanukkah card
Hanukkah which is also known as the Festival of Lights is celebrated in the Jewish community. It’s usually a time to get together with family and exchange gifts but you can take the opportunity to pull out your cutting mat and make a card to go with your gift.
4. Make a Mother’s day card
Enough with the macaroni necklaces already! Mom will love a gift that will last a little bit longer than old pasta. Haha! It doesn’t need to be fancy. It can be a simple card that can be kept in a keepsake box. She can always, go back to the box and pull out the card years later to enjoy those memories.

5. Make a Thank You Card
A thank you card is a quick and easy way to show someone that you appreciate their help. It’s also a good idea to send one to people who have supported you through difficult times.
