Kisha Velazquez of Junior Baby Hatter

Kisha Velazquez was looking for a way to dress her son in trendy, stylish outfits that weren’t the typical boring finds from the big name shops. She took matters into her own hands and started designing a line of children’s clothing for boys . The clothes were fun and most importantly, they fit her classic tastes.

With her background experience as a fashion assistant, she launched her business, Junior Baby Hatter. In her shop, you’ll find jazz era influenced hats, suspenders, bow ties, and matching Dad styles too.

“All the cute stuff was for baby girls, The baby-boy section was a somewhat depressing array of sweatpants and trucker hats.”

The company believes in hand crafting things to last. It shows in the numerous customer reviews from happy clients.

Malacia Anderson of Li Li’s Creations

Malacia Anderson of Li Li’s Creations is another creative woman who had a desire to make beautiful, bold clothing but knew what she didn’t want to keep working for someone else’s dream.

She says “I have wanted to open an Etsy shop for a very long time. I just didn’t think I could afford to do it. 2013 was the year that I decided to realize a lot of the goals that I had put on hold.

Since opening Li Li’s Creations in August it has been an amazing experience. I have found that by promoting my shop through my Instagram page and participating in vendor events has really brought my shop to light.

I am my best marketer by attending various natural events and by wearing the pieces that I create and make has propelled my dream to become more and more realized everyday.”
