How to Use Kapwing Video To Increase Traffic to Your Blog

Do you want to get more traffic to your blog? You can do it with video made with Kapwing, and it’s easier than you think.

I’ve been uploading videos to my blog and my Pinterest account and the results have been amazing! I’ve seen so much growth over the past year, over 2 million monthly viewers to my Pinterest account, and it only keeps getting better.

I get commissions for purchases made through some of the links in this post. There is no extra cost to you. See my full disclosure here.

I do it all with the help of an easy online video maker tool called Kapwing.

What is Kapwing?

Kapwing is an online image, video, and GIF editing platform. It’s used by influencers, bloggers and artists (like me), students, brands, start-ups, and so many others.

You can make videos for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and your blog. It also works for making funny memes and GIFs for pretty much any social media platform.

Since it’s online, you don’t have to worry about downloading any programs. It’s so easy to use.  In a few clicks, you have a video that you can use anywhere.

They have affordable pricing tiers and there is even a free plan!

How Do You Use Kapwing for Blogging?

You can use Kapwing to make and edit videos for your blog. It’s now one of my main go-to online video tools for my blog.

Most people don’t come to a blog to watch a long format video. A reader is usually looking to find the information on the page in a relatively short amount of time.

Even I will tend to skip a video in a blog if it’s too long. Maybe I don’t have the time or I’m reading the blog post between running errands and I don’t feel like using all of my cell phone service plan to watch a video on my phone.

Either way, a long 30-minute video is probably better for YouTube and not on a blog post.

Since short-form video works best on my blog, I use the snippet video to give readers a quick peek at what the blog post is about.

With Kapwing, I can easily take videos from my drawing tutorials, edit them and trim them down to short snippets to include in a blog post.

Here is one of the snippet drawing tutorials that I make.

I also mentioned that you can grow your Pinterest account with the help of Kapwing. Meaning that you can get more followers, more saves of your pins, and of course, more clicks from your pins to your blog. Here is how I do it.

Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, I reuse that same snippet video that I made earlier and put it into a collage video.

Here is a quick tutorial showing you how to make a video collage.

When I say that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, I mean really… you don’t have to, because Kapwing has templates that you can use to make not only collages but memes and slideshows style videos too.

The Benefits of Using Kapwing to Make Pinterest Videos

I like using Kapwing to make my Pinterest video pins because it’s convenient and quick.

It’s convenient because all of the elements I need are already there from when I edited the long-form video. There is also an import feature in case you want to add content from anywhere else online.

It’s quick and easy to open an account and start making videos. As soon as you open an account, you’ll get a workspace. The workspace is where your videos are kept.

Once you’re in your workspace, you can click on a tool to create a new video and get access to the studio.

In the studio, you can upload pictures and videos. You can also add shapes, audio, and text to your video. Each element is really simple to use and if you get stuck, there is a help button to guide you.

Once you’ve made your collage, you can download and save it to your computer or online drive. I like to save mine to this Toshiba portable hard drive that I got from Amazon as well as to save it to my Google Drive.
