🧵 Supplies You’ll Need

  • Worsted or velvet yarn (yellow for chick, pink/green/brown for accessories)
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • 6 mm safety eyes or black embroidery thread
  • Small wooden stick or popsicle stick (for swing seat)
  • Twine or cotton cord
  • Yarn needle
  • Hot glue gun (optional)
  • Stitch marker and scissors

  1. MR, 6 SC (6)
  2. INC in each stitch (12)
  3. (SC, INC) x6 (18)
  4. (2 SC, INC) x6 (24)
    5–8. SC around (24)
  5. (2 SC, DEC) x6 (18)
  6. Add safety eyes between Rounds 5–6
  7. Stuff firmly
  8. (SC, DEC) x6 (12)
  9. DEC around (6)
  10. FO and sew hole closed.

🪶 Wings (Make 2 – Yellow Yarn)

  1. MR, 5 SC (5)
  2. SC around (5)
  3. FO and sew to sides of body.

👣 Feet (Make 2 – Orange Yarn)

  1. CH 4
  2. SC in 2nd CH and across (3)
  3. FO and attach to bottom of body

🌸 Accessories (Optional)

  • Frog or mushroom hat: Use green or red yarn to crochet a small half-sphere, add embroidered dots
  • Blush cheeks: Stitch with pink yarn or add a dab of blush
  • Embroidered beak: Use orange yarn to stitch a small triangle

🪑 Swing Seat

  1. Use a 3–4 inch popsicle stick or mini branch
  2. Cut 2 equal lengths of twine (8–10 inches each)
  3. Glue or tie each end to the seat, then knot or glue the other ends above chick’s head
  4. Sew or glue chick gently onto the swing seat
