Here’s what you need to make your own baby shark:

  • Worsted weight yarn (blue, white, red, black)
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • Polyester fiberfill stuffing
  • 6 mm safety eyes (or black yarn for embroidery)
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

Abbreviations (U.S. Terms)

  • MR – Magic ring
  • SC – Single crochet
  • INC – Increase (2 SC in 1 st)
  • DEC – Decrease (SC 2 together)
  • SL ST – Slip stitch
  • CH – Chain
  • FO – Fasten off

🦈 Shark Body (Make 1 – blue)

  1. Round 1: MR, 6 SC (6)
  2. Round 2: INC in each stitch (12)
  3. Round 3: (SC, INC) x6 (18)
  4. Round 4: (2 SC, INC) x6 (24)
  5. Rounds 5–10: SC around (24)
  6. Round 11: (2 SC, DEC) x6 (18)
  7. Insert safety eyes between Rounds 6–7, 5 stitches apart
  8. Round 12: (SC, DEC) x6 (12)
  9. Stuff the body with fiberfill
  10. Round 13: DEC around (6)
  11. FO and sew the opening closed.

👄 Mouth (Make 1 – white)

  1. CH 7
  2. SC in 2nd CH from hook and across (6)
  3. FO, leave tail for sewing.
  4. Optional: Use red yarn to embroider zigzag teeth across the white strip.

🧤 Side Fins (Make 2 – blue)
